random thought but was just watching one of those cop shows that follow specific cases and one segment was based on this murder case where a 57 year old man was robbed and murdered and the perpetrator left their finger prints and somehow they managed to identify them through that. Something that actually made me want to hit the t.v was the reaction the police officer proudly exhibited when he received the photo of the alleged suspect. He looks at it, nods to confirm his suspicion and announces with a contemptuous and smug tone 'yup,this definitely looks like our guy!'(keeping in mind that according to the t.v show,he had no prior knowledge as to the descriptive of this suspect) and yeah you guessed it, the alleged suspect was african-american!. Ha, call me overtly sensitive (and perhaps violent), but either way, i wanted to smack him!
